The Angel Who Called From the Recovery Room
My mother had a total knee replacement on May 9. I was so impressed with many things about her stay but the one thing that was most comforting was the amazing communication on the day of surgery. We were called on our cell phone when my Mom was is the OR. We were also called from the recovery room to let us know that she was there and she was doing well. She ended up being in the recovery room for five hours because she had spinal anesthesia. We received several phone calls from Jeanne updating us on mom's progress and reassuring us that everything was OK, she just needed some more time for the anesthesia to wear off. Of the several times I have needed to be at the hospital waiting for a loved one to come back from surgery, this was the longest wait but it was not stressful or worrisome because we were updated so often. Thanks so much!
