Thanks to the generosity of the Merrill Lynch Branch Office in Madison, St. Mary’s has been selected as the beneficiary of the 4th annual Merrill Lynch Grand Gala. Past Merrill Lynch Grand Galas have raised significant funds to support important non-profit organizations in our community. Funds raised through the 2010 Grand Gala will benefit the St. Mary’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Specifically, the proceeds from the event will be used to purchase state-of-the-art Giraffe Omnibed incubators which are used to create precise environmental conditions for sick newborns. Watch a video and learn more about the incubators.
Founded in 1968 as the first unit of its kind in the state, the St. Mary’s NICU treats infants that are in many cases struggling to survive. Over 450 fragile newborns from across South Central Wisconsin are cared for annually at the St. Mary’s NICU.
Starting in 2010, the St. Mary’s NICU will undergo a major renovation and expansion to provide additional space and technology for our littlest patients and their families. The Giraffe Omnibed incubators will be a critical component of this renovation.
The event, coordinated by Merrill Lynch, will be held the evening of Friday May 7, 2010 at the Edgewater Hotel in Madison. Doors open at 5:30 pm with a seated dinner to begin at 7:00 pm. A fun and engaging silent auction will be held throughout the evening. Table sponsorships are available at $1,000 for a table of 8 and individual tickets are $100 per person.
A flyer and pledge form may be downloaded here. For additional information please contact the St. Mary’s Foundation at 608-258-5600 or stmarys_foundation@ssmhc.com.
