The Role of Philanthrophy
St. Mary’s has a powerful history rooted in philanthropy. From the very beginning our founding sisters used baskets to gather funds to share with those in need. Continuing the tradition, St. Mary’s Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that provides funding to St. Mary’s Hospital and Care Center by partnering with grateful donors, patients and families to support our healing mission. During this time of unparalleled change in the health care industry, philanthropic dollars will play an increasingly important role in St. Mary’s mission of providing exceptional patient care.
Memorial & Tribute Gifts
All gifts to St. Mary’s can be made ‘In Memory’ or ‘In Honor’ of someone special. For a personalized gift, consider an engraved brick or tile placed in The Gardens of St. Mary's, or contact the Foundation office to discuss naming opportunities within the hospital. To thank a doctor, nurse, or other caregiver, a Guardian Angel gift would be most appropriate. If you have recently lost a loved one, and would like to direct memorials to St. Mary’s, visit the Ways to Give page for common obituary notice wording.
Through the generous support of our donors, St. Mary’s Foundation was able to make distributions and commitments of $986,959 in 2013 for resources and equipment to improve the patient experience and support the staff in their work of providing exceptional care.
