Art of Nursing Alive and Well
I had the scariest experience of my life recently and the St Mary's staff and their incredible support was such a help. I'd been suffering face and jaw pain for the past month plus Bell's Palsy. When I experienced horrible pain an MRI was performed. Everyone from the MRI staff, radiology, nursing and dietary was so kind to me. There were numerous tests and needle sticks but everyone explained what was going on. Patient education by the nursing staff was excellent. My news wasn't so good but they helped me stay positive. As a retired RN, I'm so glad the nursing profession continues to make such great strides. These nurses are so very smart and compassionate. Being a patient at St Mary's wasn't half as bad as I expected. The dietary service was great too. All I can say is "Keep up the good work". You should all be very proud of your professions.
