Pastoral Care

Support for Patients
We believe spiritual care is an integral part of the healing process. We are committed to providing appropriate care to patients of all religious traditions or with spiritual needs not related to a particular faith tradition. St. Mary's Pastoral Care staff is professionally trained to provide spiritual and emotional support to all patients and families. Visits from your own faith leader are also encouraged. If you need assistance in reaching a particular faith leader, please contact the Pastoral Care Office between 8 am and 4:30 pm at 258-6769.

To contact a chaplain, any time of the day or night, dial "0" for  the hospital switchboard.

Reading and devotional materials from various religious traditions are available for patient and family use through the Pastoral Care Office. Care Notes which provide information about coping with illness, grief and many other topics are also available in the Pastoral Care Office and can be requested through a chaplain.

The Hospital Chapel is located on Level 1 near the Mills Street side of the building.  Patients, family members and visitors are welcome to visit the hospital chapel any time of the day or night.

An Interfaith Meditation Room is located near the lobby in the East Wing of the Hospital.

Reflective music with nature scenes is broadcast on TV channel 100 except during worship times when the Mass is broadcast.
