How well does your pet say cheese? Or maybe it’s bacon or bird seed? Whatever gets them to look their best, bring it along to this year’s annual pet photo day at Deer-Grove Veterinary Clinics. This Saturday, November 5, from 1:00p until 5:00pm, the clinic teams up with Grey Oaks Photography to help your pet look its best.
Deer-Grove Veterinary Clinics and Grey Oaks Photography invite you to learn more about their annual pet photo day and this year’s charity donation, the Pet Therapy Program at St. Mary's Hospital. The pet portraits are Saturday afternoon, November 5, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the Deer-Grove Veterinary Clinic lobby at 535 Southing Grange in Cottage Grove.
The annual pet photo day at Deer-Grove Veterinary Clinics (535 Southing Grange in Cottage Grove) is a charity event to help raise money for a local animal welfare organization. This year that organization is the St. Mary’s Hospital Pet Therapy Program.
“Every year, we work with one or more animal charities. We’ve helped raise money for the Dane County Sheriff's K-9 Fund, the UW Vet School’s Companion Animal Fund, GPA Wisconsin Greyhound Adoption, Miniature Pinscher Rescue and other groups”, says David Baux, co-owner of Grey Oaks Photography. “This year, we’re once again extremely proud to be working with Deer-Grove Veterinary Clinic to raise money for St Mary's Hospital's Pet Therapy Program -- a program that offers child and adult patients the ability to relax and enjoy the camaraderie of a canine companion that's been trained for such visits. Our photo day donations will help the program fund promotional and advocacy materials and also scholarships for qualified handler-and-dog teams to receive the therapy training.”
The pet portraits are simple, straightforward and take very little time.
“We set up advance appointments so people and their pets don’t have to wait around in case there are other families waiting to get portraits done ahead of them”, explains David. “The sessions are only 10 minutes long.”
Grey Oaks Photography then performs post-processing, retouching and printing, and the packages are ready for pick up at the clinic in approximately 3 weeks.
The packages offered at the Pet Photo Day are:
#1 -- the session and (2) tabletop-sized printed images, for $40.
#2 -- the session and (3) tabletop-sized printed images, for $60.
#3 -- the session and (4) tabletop-sized printed images, for $80.
#4 -- the session, a 16 x 16 standout wall portrait, and (2) tabletop-sized images for $150.
"Tabletop-size" are printed images in your choice of 4 x 6, 5 x7 or 8 x 10. Images can all be one pose or a variety. A la carte items, such as image CDs, image keychains, and image waterbottles will also be available with the purchase of any package.
